Motorolla is on the verge of buying Israeli start-up BitBand, according to The Marker’s Guy Grimland. According to the report, the company will be bought for roughly $10-15 million, this after BitBand has already seen investments of about $18 million.
Founded in 1999, Bitband develops CDN solutions for spreading video content online, and employs a few dozen employees. Its CEO is Ervin Leibovici, its VP of Marketing is Yuval Sovinsky, VP of Development is Ofer Kruzel and its technology manager is Arie Aig.
Among the venture capital funds involved in the company are Apax Partners, Sequioa Capital and Aviv Venture Capital.
