Shai Mohaban, one of the founders of Kagoor Networks, before it was bought in 2005 by Juniper Networks, and then became a distinquished engineer in Juniper, is one of the founders of Shfaim-based Neebula Systems. The company specializes in management tools for data centers.

Mohaban joins Yuval Cohen, the CEO of Neebula who has an impressive resume. Cohen served as the VP of R&D of Radlan, general manager of Marvell Software Solutions Israel and a partner in Pitango Venture Capital. Also among the company’s founders are Ariel Gordon, former VP of R&D at New Dimension Software and CTO of BMC Software and Noam Biran, also from BMC Software. They are Neebula’s VP Products and Product Manager, respectively.

This year, Neebula saw investments from Pitango Ventures and Genesis Partners. It’s board of directors received new additions from the two venture capital funds – Jonathan Saacks of Genesis and Rami Bracha from Pitango.

According to Mohaban in a first Neebula interview, “Neebula is hard at work developing a solution for monitoring and managing organizational data centers, especially for organizations that embrace advanced virtualization and cloud-computing technologies, these require managing capabilities that greatly differ from those used in the past.”

Mohaban also told StartUpMania that “Neebula Systems has just signed an important partnership deal with VMWare, and is working on collaborations and integration for managing and monitoring tools by IBM, CA, BMC, HP and Microsoft.” Mohaban also went on to promise that Neebula Systems’ first technological pilot will occur in the next six months, and within a year the company will release a final product.
