tc50-300x741TechCrunch’s TC50 even places 50 start-ups from around the world all under one roofs. According to rumors, the competition will feature several Israel-based start-up companies, that somehow managed to sneak under StartUpMania’s state of the art start-up detectors.

Wading through the news out of San-Francisco, we managed to spot the following companies:

trollimTrollim, managed by Raz Alon, founder and former CTO of We! Secure, and Arik Filstein, former CEO of We! Hunters. The company seeks to develop a platform for assessing programmers skills, as well as comparing them to other programmers and providing potential programmers with top-grade challenges.


Red-Beacon1Redbeacon, is a start-up run by Yaron Binur and Aaron Lee, both former Google employees. They offer a semantic search engine that analyzes requests for professional services, and is able to direct the customer to the proper professional, taking into account geographical location. Once launched, the company will focus on providing services in California.


anyclip-300x136The AnyClip application is actually a rebranding of poptok, revealed in 2008. We’re not sure if this follows with TC50 protocols, which require a first unveiling of a product. However you want to call it, the product is a search engine for key moments in films, developed by Jerusalem-based JVP.


threadsyUdi Nir, a former executive at eBay, will be showcasing threadsy, an internet messaging service that will pull information from a wide variety of sources and will incorporate social network information.


TucoolaLastly, Tucoola, headed by Ofir Goldshmidt, Eli Porat, and Idan Bar, is a content provider which aims for the 2-8 age market, providing educational content.
