Israeli start-up CommuniTake, which specializes in developing solutions for optimizing customer service for cellular providers, raised one million dollars from the private investment firm of businessman Shmuel Mandsinski. This is the company’s first fund raising, despite being formed in 2008 – it has operated up to now on its own funds.
The company was founded by Ronen Sason, a former VP at Amdocs, Omri Lavi – founder of Clockwize, Eran Karpan – former R&D manager at MobileSolid, Ami Parlmoter and Shalev Hulio. Omri Lavi and Shalev Hulio, incidentally, are also the founders of the video-oriented start-up MediAnd.
Madsinski, who was the founder and former owner of Machsanei Chashmal, Israel’s leading electric appliance megastore, runs a private investment firm which began operating in 2009. The company focuses in investments in the technological, cellular service and application, internet and television fields. They invest mostly in fledgeling companies. Among its chief personnel are Rami Kennet, founder of Eurocom and formerly one of its chief executives, Ronen Mandsinski and Momi Nachum of Quantum Telecom.
CommuniTake developed a remote assistance platform for advanced cellular phones. Their platform, weighing only 150kb, is installed on the users phone and is adapted for installation on a vast majority of cellular phones. Following the installation, customer service representatives can remotely take over the machine in order to diagnose problems, run applications and guide users through graphical means, and thus fix and resolve technical issues in a quick, effective way.
According to Ronen Sason, CommuniTake’s CEO, “CommuniTake allows for revolutionary service capabilities that expand the customer’s experience, greatly increase the service representative work output and significantly diminishes operational costs. The cellular providers are greatly interested and are well aware of the value the innovative platform provides: it answers day-to-day challenges in the reality these companies exist in. We have garnered an excited response both in and out of the country, a response that has yielded several pilot procedures.”
